We were hunting, always hunting
We were chasing, always searching
Not arriving, never finding
Self-deceiving, unbelieving
All consuming, we were exhuming
We were stealing without feeling
We were storing, we were hoarding
We were stalking without halting
We were holding all our gold and
We were crumbling, we were rusting
O we have been consumed!
There was fire, there was dragon
There was burning, we were running
We were hunted, we were hiding
We were searching, never finding
There was monster, there was teeth and
We were bones and we were meat
All confusion, all illusion
All imagined except dragon

almost can’t pick a favorite track. this ep has been dearly beloved to me for so long, i can’t do it justice in 500 characters. the feeling of deep, utter melancholy and mourning superimposed upon some kind of frantic energy, like a jackrabbit turning tail in midwinter, and the snowbanks are grim and endless. some of the most beautiful, haunting melodies & lyrics & everything i’ve ever heard. aceofcorvids
